Khloe Kardashian reveals she bans all sleepovers for her kids due to fear and past crime shows.
Khloe Kardashian isn’t just setting boundaries—she’s building walls when it comes to her children’s sleepovers.
On the latest episode of her podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, the reality star opened up about her ironclad parenting policies during a candid chat with UFC president Dana White. What followed was a revelation that left many fans stunned: Khloe does not allow her children—daughter True and toddler son Tatum—to have sleepovers. Not now. Not ever.
“I don’t let my kids sleep anywhere,” she stated bluntly. “I’m very strict about it.”

It’s not about being overprotective, she insists—it’s about being realistic. “I’ve watched too much Dateline,” she admitted. That single sentence might explain everything. The true crime stories, the missing children, the inexplicable tragedies—Khloe’s seen them all, and they’ve left a lasting impact.
And while some parents might relax the rules for best friends or trusted neighbours, Khloe isn’t budging. “They’re not allowed to have sleepovers just because I’m one of those types of… I just — I think too much,” she confessed. No exceptions. No compromises.
Khloe co-parents her two children with ex-partner and basketball player Tristan Thompson. While she didn’t specify whether Tristan shares her exact views on sleepovers, it’s clear she’s laying down the law in her own household.
But that wasn’t the only glimpse into her parenting mindset. During the same episode, Khloe veered into more emotional territory, sharing her anxieties about what comes next—especially when the kids eventually grow up and move out.
“I don’t know if I’m gonna like being an empty nester,” she said, almost nervously. Then she joked: “I’ll probably shave my head and go nuts or something. Or buy a ton of animals.”
The laughter barely masked a deeper truth. Beneath the glam and fame lies a mother with deeply rooted fears—about her children’s safety, about losing control, and about life after motherhood takes a back seat. The sleepover ban, then, isn’t just a rule—it’s a reflection of that worry.
Fans on social media had mixed reactions. Some praised her caution, especially in a time when even the most seemingly innocent situations can spiral into danger. Others criticised her for being too extreme, warning that overprotection might do more harm than good in the long run.
But for Khloe, it’s simple: she knows what she’s seen, and she knows what she’s willing to risk. Sleepovers aren’t worth it.
“I just — I think too much,” she repeated. And maybe, in today’s world, that’s not such a bad thing.
