In a bid to secure their first major tournament qualification since Russia’s invasion, Ukraine gears up to face Iceland in the Euro 2024 playoff final. Despite missing out on the 2022 World Cup, Ukraine, under the guidance of coach Serhiy Rebrov, eyes a spot in the main tournament in Germany.

The journey has been challenging for Ukraine, narrowly losing to Wales in the 2022 World Cup playoffs. However, with a victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-final, Ukraine is poised to defy the odds against Iceland in Wroclaw, Poland. Rebrov emphasized the significance of their mission, rallying the team to bring hope amidst ongoing conflict.

Meanwhile, Georgia stands on the brink of history as they face former champions Greece. Willy Sagnol’s side aims for their maiden qualification as an independent nation, propelled by star forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s return from suspension. The winner of this clash will join Group F at the Euro alongside Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Turkey.

Additionally, Wales eyes a return to the international stage as they confront Poland, led by Robert Lewandowski. With past tournament experiences, Wales remains undaunted, eager to compete in a formidable Group D alongside Austria, the Netherlands, and France.

As the playoffs unfold, teams strive to etch their names in Euro history, overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities on the path to glory.
