Reality TV star Katie Price expresses disapproval over the inclusion of Princess Catherine’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, in the rumoured lineup for Celebrity Big Brother.

Katie Price has voiced her opinions on the potential lineup for this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, specifically criticizing the inclusion of Gary Goldsmith, the uncle of Princess Catherine. Price, who won the show in 2015, expressed her disapproval during an episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, where she discussed the rumoured contestants with her sister Sophie.

Upon learning that Gary Goldsmith might participate in the show, Price exclaimed, “Why the f***’s he in it, who is he?” She also expressed disdain for another potential contestant, Lauren Simon from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, stating, “Anyone can be a celebrity these days.”

Goldsmith, a 58-year-old IT recruitment boss, is known for his outspoken nature and is reportedly being sought after by Celebrity Big Brother producers due to his link to the royal family. According to a TV insider, Goldsmith is expected to provide insights into his relationship with Kate and Wills, as well as his outspoken views on Harry and Meghan.

Despite Price’s criticism, ITV has reportedly spent £2 million on securing a lineup of high-profile names for this year’s Celebrity Big Brother. The show, set to return after a six-year hiatus, is scheduled to premiere on March 4, with AJ Odudu and Will Best as hosts.

Previous seasons of Celebrity Big Brother have been marked by memorable moments, such as Gemma Collins’ iconic “I’m claustrophobic, Darren” line and Chantelle Houghton’s successful attempt at convincing housemates she was a pop star. The upcoming series is expected to last approximately three weeks, with daily episodes airing between Sunday and Friday. Additionally, a live stream will be available seven nights a week.
