Matt Morsia’s son Mauro hospitalized after scary incident

Gladiators star Matt Morsia, known as Legend, and his wife Sarah faced a terrifying ordeal when their son Mauro suffered a seizure in the bath. Mauro, who was coming down with chickenpox, experienced febrile convulsions, a common occurrence in children around the age of two during the onset of an illness.

Sarah shared on Instagram that Mauro had a complication from a fever induced by chickenpox, leading to the seizures. She described the frightening moment when Mauro had a seizure in the bath, going face down under the water and jerking uncontrollably. Fortunately, Sarah was nearby and able to quickly pull him out, avoiding a potentially tragic outcome.

Mauro was rushed to hospital, where he received prompt treatment. Sarah expressed relief that Mauro is now fine, with only the last of the spots from chickenpox remaining. She emphasized the importance of being vigilant and not leaving children unattended, even for a moment, especially during bath time.

Following the scare, the family is now enjoying a holiday in Nerja, Spain, where Mauro is recovering well. Matt Morsia filmed Gladiators last summer in Sheffield, and the show has been a massive success since its airing on BBC One in January, attracting over six million viewers for the opening episode.
