Former glamour model Katie Price allegedly showcased a new cat on social media, just days after animal welfare charity Peta urged her to refrain from acquiring more pets

Katie Price, 45, has reportedly shared a photo on Instagram revealing a new addition to her family, believed to be a sphynx cat, amidst recent controversy surrounding her acquisition of animals. The photo, depicting the feline perched on a laptop keyboard, was accompanied by a caption suggesting Price’s intention to work.

The introduction of the “new cat” comes shortly after animal rights organization PETA offered Price £5,000 to cease acquiring animals, citing concerns over the welfare of her pets. The charity’s letter to Price highlighted the deaths of several of her pets and urged her to sign a legal agreement promising not to obtain any more animals.

Reportedly valued at £1,200, sphynx cats vary in price online, with some fetching thousands of pounds. Although Price’s Instagram Stories post featuring the cat is no longer visible, it was captured by media outlets earlier this week.

Elisa Allen, Vice President of UK Programs and Operations at PETA, expressed concern over Price’s track record with animals, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing their welfare. PETA’s proposal aimed to encourage Price to act in the best interests of animals and garnered support from her fans.

Despite the charity’s offer, Price appears to have proceeded with acquiring a new pet, sparking further debate over her treatment of animals.
