Adult baby diaper loving (ABDL) spa faces backlash from local residents; community members express concerns over safety and well-being

A spa in Atkinson, New Hampshire, catering to adult individuals with a specific preference, has ignited controversy and raised eyebrows among local residents. “The Diaper Spa,” founded by physician Dr. Colleen Murphy, offers services targeting the ABDL (Adult Baby Diaper Loving) community, aiming to provide acceptance, respite, and care for individuals over the age of 21.

The spa’s offerings include ABDL nursery spa care, virtual playdates with a doctor, therapeutic support, and life coaching. With service prices starting at $100 and a steep $1,500 for a 24-hour stay at its bed and breakfast, the facility has become a focal point of criticism in Atkinson.

Residents have expressed their displeasure by launching a petition urging the town to reject any business and zoning licenses for “The Diaper Spa.” The petition, initiated by Kayla Gallagher, highlights concerns about potential incidents that may threaten the safety and well-being of the community, particularly children.

Dr. Colleen Murphy defends the spa, emphasizing that it is not geared towards fetishizing, but rather aims to assist individuals in processing trauma, often related to childhood experiences. She notes that the spa provides a sense of safety for those seeking to reconnect with the comfort associated with diapers.

Despite the controversy, the spa has not issued a public response to the concerns raised by Atkinson residents.
