Former Royal Butler Paul Burrell believes reconciliation unlikely as Royals employ new tactic

The Royal Family, through a strategic approach, appears to be closing the chapter on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to former royal butler Paul Burrell.

Paul Burrell, known for his service to Princess Diana, claims that the Royal Family has “firmly shut the door” on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, signalling that any potential reconciliation is highly improbable. The couple, now residing in Montecito, faced strained relations after stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and revealing intimate details about the Palace in interviews and a Netflix docuseries.

Burrell suggests that the Royal Family has adopted a new approach of keeping matters “in-house.” Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Burrell expressed his opinion, stating, “I don’t think they will ever be invited back with open arms. The doors are firmly shut: I think the royals are consolidating. They are keeping tight-lipped, and they are keeping everything in-house. I think that is their tactic: they have regrouped and pulled together, and there is no space for Meghan and Harry.”

Tensions between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family heightened after the release of Prince Harry’s memoir titled “Spare.” Burrell notes that the relationship soured further after the release of the memoir, solidifying the Royal Family’s stance.

Burrell speculates on Meghan Markle’s potential explosive memoir, asserting that it is inevitable for her to share her perspective. He believes that Meghan’s memoir, told from a woman’s standpoint, will further damage the Royal Family and intensify the ongoing upheaval.
