Details emerge of disturbing call an hour before dad, daughters, and aunt discovered in norfolk home

In a shocking turn of events, the haunting details of a 999 call made by Bartlomiej Kuczynski, 45, have been unveiled, exposing the distressing moments preceding the discovery of his lifeless body alongside his two daughters and their maternal aunt in their Costessey home.

The tragic incident unfolded on Friday when police were alerted to the scene an hour after Bartlomiej’s 999 call. The distressing discovery of the lifeless bodies of Bartlomiej, daughters Jasmin, 12, Downreuang, seven, and aunt Kanticha Noon, 36, sent shockwaves through the community.

The Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) is now investigating Norfolk Police after revelations that officers were not dispatched to the Costessey home following Bartlomiej’s initial call expressing concerns for his mental state.

During the harrowing 999 call, Bartlomiej conveyed his confusion and worries about his mental well-being, prompting advice to seek medical assistance. Shockingly, police did not attend, and it was only an hour later, around 7 am, that officers were alerted by a dog walker concerned about the welfare of those inside the home.

The IOPC stated, “Officers attended shortly after and, tragically, found the man, a woman, and two children dead.”

The investigation into the deaths revealed that Bartlomiej died from a single stab wound to the neck, while Kanticha suffered multiple knife injuries to her neck. Post-mortem examinations on the two young girls are scheduled for tomorrow.

Kanticha, visiting from Thailand, met a tragic fate during her stay at her sister’s family home. The children’s mother was reportedly at work as a caretaker when the grim discovery was made.

Norfolk Police assured that they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the deaths. Chief Constable Paul Sanford expressed support for the scrutiny, stating, “It’s only right that when there are questions about our response, they are properly investigated.”

The IOPC is also investigating prior contact with the family following a missing person inquiry on December 14, adding another layer of complexity to this heartbreaking family tragedy.
