Ex made in Chelsea star Frankie Gaff announces her sister’s death in emotional tribute online.

Former Made in Chelsea star Frankie Gaff has revealed that her sister has died, sharing a heartbreaking tribute on social media.

The 31-year-old reality TV personality, who rose to fame on the E4 series in 2016, took to Instagram on Sunday night to confirm the devastating news.

Posting a black-and-white photo alongside a touching caption, Gaff wrote: “My sister passed away early this morning [red heart emoji]. We will miss her forever but trying to find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and is hopefully bouncing around up there somewhere, doing what she loved most.”

The tribute recalled her sister’s passions: “Gymnastics, being with her friends and family, surrounded by nature, eating Terry’s chocolate orange or Green & Black’s almond chocolate. We will miss her infectious, incredibly loud, laugh forever.”

Gaff also thanked those who had supported her sibling throughout her struggles: “Thank you to everyone, people I know and people I don’t know who have always messaged to check in on her.”

The announcement has left fans shocked, as the news comes just months after Frankie revealed she was expecting her second child with fiancé Jamie Dickerson. In July, she shared a family photograph with her partner and their son Theodore, captioned: “Baby number 2 incoming.”

Frankie’s tribute has been widely shared, with friends, former co-stars, and followers offering condolences and messages of support.

Gaff first joined Made in Chelsea during its 11th series in 2016. Her storylines centred largely on her turbulent relationship with fellow cast member Jamie Laing, which ended in 2017. She went on to appear in five series, including summer specials set in the U.S., Ibiza and the South of France, before leaving the show in 2018.

Since then, she has largely stepped back from the public eye, choosing a quieter life with venture capitalist Dickerson, to whom she is now engaged. The pair welcomed their first child in 2021, and Frankie has spoken previously about how happy and settled she feels away from the pressures of reality television.

Her former romance with Jamie Laing – who is now married to Sophie Habboo and expecting his first child – remains one of her best-known storylines on the show. But Gaff has since kept her private life relatively low-key, sharing glimpses of her family life only occasionally on social media.

The tragic news about her sister comes at what should have been a joyful time. Having shared her excitement about her second pregnancy, the sudden loss has cast a shadow over her family’s future celebrations.

Fans online have described her tribute as both “heartbreaking” and “beautiful”, with many expressing admiration for the way she remembered her sister’s laughter and love of life.

Although the circumstances surrounding her sister’s passing have not been made public, Gaff’s message emphasised the family’s attempt to find comfort in knowing she is at peace.

Frankie’s words encapsulated the depth of her grief: a farewell full of love, sadness, and memories that will endure long after the shock of her sister’s death.

As condolences continue to pour in, it is clear her tribute has resonated far beyond her immediate circle. For Gaff, who has lived much of her adult life in the public eye, the deeply personal loss is now being shared with the wider world
