A strong earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale shook Islamabad and several cities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu on Saturday, as reported by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).
Tremors were felt in various areas including Islamabad, Peshawar, Swabi, Khushab, and other northern cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located in the Hindukush Region of Afghanistan, with a depth of 140 kilometres.
