Tatyana Remley pleads guilty to solicitation to commit murder; receives prison sentence

In a shocking case, 43-year-old Tatyana Remley of San Diego has been sentenced to three years and eight months in state prison for attempting to hire a hitman to kill her husband. Remley pleaded guilty to one count of solicitation to commit murder on December 28, admitting that she agreed to pay $2 million to have her husband, Mark Remley, of 12 years murdered.

The Vista Superior Court Judge David Danielson handed down the sentence after Remley’s admission to planning the hit on her husband, coupled with the possession of an unregistered firearm. Another gun-related charge was dropped as part of the sentencing.

The case unfolded in August when an undercover operation was initiated after authorities received information about Remley’s intentions. During a meeting with an undercover police officer, Remley provided detailed information on how she wanted her husband killed and even supplied three additional firearms and U.S. currency as a down payment for the murder.

Earlier in July, police had responded to a house fire and found Remley in possession of three firearms and ammunition. She was arrested for firearms-related offenses, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The couple, married in 2011, had a tumultuous relationship, with multiple separations and reconciliations. Remley filed for divorce, citing financial strain, and relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. In the divorce documents filed in July, she sought spousal support, claiming extreme financial difficulty.

The couple had previously organized acrobatic horse shows in 2012 called ‘Valitar,’ which faced challenges and was eventually canceled due to reported low ticket sales.

Tatyana Remley’s shocking attempt to orchestrate her husband’s murder has left the community and authorities stunned, leading to a prison sentence for the San Diego woman.
