Operation Avalite will investigate recent incidents, including a Melbourne synagogue arson, to tackle rising anti-semitic acts

“Anti-Semitism has no place in Australia, and we will not stand idly by while these hate-fuelled acts take place,” said Albanese during the announcement. The task force will work closely with law enforcement and Jewish community organisations to investigate the incidents, increase security around Jewish institutions, and implement educational measures to tackle anti-Semitic rhetoric.

The recent arson attack on the synagogue in Melbourne, along with several other disturbing incidents targeting Jewish Australians, has sparked widespread concern.
